Madarasatunnur is a weekend Quranic school that has been established to fulfill the increasing demand and need of the young Muslims with an East African Background who reside in Hounslow, Southall, Hayes and surrounding areas, who need to learn Al Qur'aan and Islamic teachings while facing many challenges that would obstruct the learning of their faith and beliefs.

The Madrasah has been officially registered as a charity, by the of Madarasatunnur Educational Trust. with registration number is 1101074 and is rapidly expanding in its curriculum. In December 2004 Madrasah will 5 years old since it was established, the Madrasah has now registered more than 120 pupils, and many more are in waiting list since the space to allocate those pupils is very limited.

Since its establishment in the year 2002, the Madrasah has been running by renting the Convent way Community Hall near Southall, where its classes are conducted during Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM -3:00 PM every week. this project have 15 volunteers who work fii-sabilillah, without any payment or salaries, and solely for Islam and Ummah.
